Habe mich im Januar bei http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ angemeldet und fuelle seitdem regelmaessig Listen aus.

Ebird entstammt einer Kooperation vom Cornell Lab of Ornithology http://birds.cornell.edu/Page.aspx?pid=1478 und der National Audubon Society http://www.audubon.org/.
Die Listen sind auch auf Deutsch verfuegbar. Man kann Bebachtungsorte ueber einer Googlekarte auswaehlen oder man kann GPS Koordinaten (die zum Beispiel ein Handy mit GPS ausspuckt oder eine GPS Joggiing Uhr) eingeben.

Ist sehr leicht zu bedienen. In der Weihnachtszeit findet traditional ein Christmas Bird Count (seit 114 Jahren) statt und es gibt eine monatliche Verlosung von einem Zeiss Fernglas wenn man eine bestimmte Anzahl an Listen die bestimmten Kriterien erfuellen einpflegt.

Good Birding

The traditional view of the birdwatcher as “a little old lady in tennis shoes” has taken a few hits in the last decade as the hobby has moved into the digital age on many fronts. Binoculars are still de rigueur, of course, but for many younger participants, the field guide book has been replaced by cell phone apps that have all the information found in the book along with the songs and call notes of all the species. Record keeping has moved from written log books to software.

Und Ebird hast du erst dem Wiki hinzugefuegt, nachdem ich hier dies im Maerz gepostet habe.
